About Luis E. Carrero, DMD
I really love being a dentist. It allows me to make people healthy and proud of their smiles. I believe dental treatments can be life-changing. Furthermore, dentistry allows me to do small detailed work. Teeth are amazingly small, but their impact can be felt over the entire body. I make sure that patients are given personalized treatment plans as well as the time and attention to become experts of their own oral care. With me, patients smile often and for life.I joined the army reserve when I was 17 years old, one of the best experiences of my life. It taught me respect and love for my country, hard work and responsibility. All I am today I owe to the men and women in the service that helped shape a young man’s mind to be of service to others. I served until 1998. I earned my Bachelor’s of science from the Inter-American University in Puerto Rico. I continued on to the University of Puerto Rico dental school for my dental medicine doctorate, graduating in 2003. I moved to Florida in 2005 and after working in the corporate setting I realized I could have a better relationship with my patients if I eliminated the middle man and became independent. I started my private practice in Valrico in 2007. I’ve had the opportunity to serve patients for over a decade. I love my neighborhood and left Tampa to move here 4 years ago. This is my home. My promise is to provide the best dental care to my patients. The only way to do this is by staying current with the newest materials, techniques, and equipment in the field. Technology is rapidly changing in dentistry, and in order to take advantage of these new benefits, I take numerous continuing education classes, attend conferences and seminars, and am part of many study clubs.I am genuinely interested in the well-being of all our patients. To provide the best service, I keep the practice in tiptop shape. It is efficient and fun yet very professional when it boils down to our dental work. I have an honest and caring approach to treatment. My first goal is to make sure each patient is as comfortable as possible. I understand how difficult this can be for some patients, and I rise to the challenge. I know first-hand how painless dental procedures can be, and I strive to make each of my treatments smooth and easy. Many patients are surprised when it is over because it is so gentle. It is all part of the big plan of providing phenomenal quality oral care and brilliant smiles for life.
