About Margaret D. Maule, DMD
Dr. Margaret Drozdowski Maule received her undergraduate degree from St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, NY and her graduate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1998. She completed her residency training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Connecticut in 1999. In 2008, she was named as one of the “40 under 40” outstanding graduates of the University of Connecticut. In 2011, Dr. Drozdowski Maule earned an MBA degree from the Johnson School at Cornell University. Dr. Maule’s professional career began as an associate in private practice in New Britain and Avon, Connecticut. She joined Community Health Center, Inc in September 2002, and within 3 years was promoted to leadership roles and served as the agency’s Chief Dental Officer from 2005 through 2014. Throughout her tenure at Community Health Center, Dr. Drozdowski Maule maintained a clinical practice in New Britain and oversaw the operations and clinical excellence of the dental department as well as numerous expansions and technological advances. Dr. Drozdowski Maule’s first passion has always been patient care and the practice of clinical dentistry. In 2013, she transitioned back to full time clinical practice in West Hartford, CT. In 2019, Dr. Drozdowski Maule opened Family Dentistry of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT and returned to CHC, Inc to continue caring for the underserved. Dr. Drozdowski Maule is an active participant with the Connecticut State Dental Association since 1998; currently serving on the peer review council, strategic planning committee, access to care committee, and serves as the chair of the finance committee. She serves as an expert advisor for DentaQuest Institute and has also provided independent consulting for various dental programs across the country since 2013. She is a current member of the National Oral Health Access Network and has served as a member of the board of directors for NNOHA from 2008-2014. Dr. Drozdowski Maule has presented nationally on several topics including mobile dental programs, financial and operational topics, electronic health record implementation and meaningful use requirements. She attends numerous continuing education seminars in all aspect of dentistry, including over 70 hours in dental sleep medicine. She completed the American Dental Association’s Evidence Based Dentistry training in 2013. She is a qualified dentist with American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine for the delivery of oral appliances for patients with sleep apnea. Dr. Drozdowski Maule resides in Farmington, CT with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time with her family, skiing, running, cooking, and dog training. She was born in Poland and is fluent in Polish.
