About Margaret E. Parsons, MD
Dr. Parsons returned to her hometown of Sacramento in 1996 after completing medical school and dermatology residency training, including serving as chief resident at Tulane University Medical School in New Orleans. Her undergraduate education was at the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Parsons has been recognized as a “Best Doctor in Sacramento.” Her commitment to medicine and the community are evidenced by her involvement in the local, state and national medical associations including serving on the Sierra Sacramento Valley Medical Society, California Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, BloodSource, and the American Academy of Dermatology Board of Directors. Always committed to education and increasing knowledge, Dr. Parsons works with the residents at the UC Davis Department of Dermatology as an associate clinical professor and lectures at conferences and association meetings nationwide. As a native Sacramentan, Dr. Parsons enjoys all that the region offers with her husband and young son. On weekends, she enjoys cooking, gardening, and family bike rides along the America River bike trails.
