About Mark T. Brown, MD
Dr. Mark T. Brown has been in practice as a Head and Neck Surgeon, Ear Nose and Throat specialist for over a decade. He has practiced in Central Texas since 1999. His philosophy includes providing the time and attention that each patient requires to explore, examine, and treat their particular problem. He strives to provide personal care in an environment that encourages trust and builds a strong relationship with the patient. Great Hills ENT was created by Dr. Brown in 2006 to provide personalized, quality care for both adults and children. Dr. Brown’s received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. From there he did a general surgery internship (Beth Israel Hospital) and Otolaryngology residency (Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary) in Boston, Massachusetts in the Harvard Medical System. A one year Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship, with an emphasis on head and neck cancer reconstruction, was undertaken at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary after completing his residency. After a 4 year appointment as an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Brown returned to Texas and settled in Austin. His special interests include the assessment and evaluation of sleep problems, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, head and neck cancer, sinus disease, and voice problems. Dr. Brown is Board Certified in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Sleep Medicine, and has been ranked one of Texas' Super Doctors every year since 2005. Dr. Brown sees all general pediatric and adult ENT patients on a daily basis by appointment and provides comprehensive care for problems of the ears, nose, and throat.
