About Mark A. Koup, DMD
Dr. Mark Koup is a graduate of Great Valley High School, Muhlenberg College, and The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He earned a Certificate in General Practice Dentistry after completing a residency at York Hospital in 2005, and in 2011 he was awarded Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has been recognized by his peers as a top dentist in both Philadelphia Magazine and Main Line Today. Dr. Mark is also on the faculty at Penn Dental Medicine. He is currently Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry and the Director of Comprehensive Care Clinics at Penn’s Dental School. In addition, he lectures for several didactic courses for pre-doctoral students at Penn Dental as well as on dentistry at Penn’s School of Medicine. Having practiced since 2005, Mark continues to stay active in the Academy of Stomatology and the Academy of General Dentistry — both organizations dedicated to the pursuit of life-long learning. He also operates a company that provides dental exams for members of the armed services reserves on weekends. In his free time, Dr. Mark enjoys running, weight training, attending Philadelphia sporting events, guitar and live music.
