About Mark E. Richardson, DDS
Dr. Richardson was born and raised in Kalamazoo, MI. He is a second-generation dentist. After graduating from Kalamazoo Central High School he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree at Hope College with a major in Biology and minor in Religion. While there he met his future wife, Tina. They were married during his freshmen year at Northwestern University Dental School. Mark loved living in downtown Chicago for 4 years and enjoys bringing his family back to visit. He graduated from Northwestern Dental School in 1992 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He was excited to move back to Kalamazoo and start his own practice in his grandpa's house, where his dad was already a dentist. Mark and Tina have three children, Brandon, Justin, and Stephanie. His oldest son graduated from Hope College and is currently studying at Central Michigan University to obtain his doctorate in Physical Therapy. His middle son is currently attending Colorado School of Mines. He is working on his masters in Advanced Energy Systems. His daughter is a sophomore at Hope College. Dr. Richardson enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering at different events. He travels to Honduras every year on a medical/ dental mission trip through the Luke Society. He travels to different villages in the mountains with other dentists and helpers to treat the needy of that area. He looks forward to going again soon. His hobbies and interests include golfing, exercising, playing softball and enjoying the outdoors.
