About Mary K. Peters, DDS
Dr. Mary Kate Peters was born in Nuremburg, Germany to an Army family and grew up in the Washington, D.C. area. After graduating from College of William & Mary with a degree in Neuroscience, she went to dental school at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor on a full Army scholarship. Dr. Peters earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2005 and then served as an active duty dentist at Fort Hood, Texas and Balad, Iraq. Before joining the team at Northland Dental Studio, she worked for 6 years in a private practice in north Austin. Dr. Peters is passionate about continuing education and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Capital Area Dental Society, and the Impact Austin Dental Study Club. She loves helping people have healthy, confident smiles and enjoys treating children and adults. Dr. Peters offers a full range of cosmetic dental services, including Invisalign, and is certified in nitrous oxide and oral sedation to help treat dental anxiety. Her favorite part of dentistry is forming lasting relationships with her patients and helping them have a comfortable and positive experience in the office. Dr. Peters and her husband Patrick live in central Austin with their children, John and Emily, and their black Labrador, Katy. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, yoga, hiking the Hill Country, and volunteering at church and school.
