About Matthew Diercks, DDS
Dr. Matthew Diercks has been practicing Dentistry in Los Gatos since 1998. He was born and raised in San Mateo and graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Microbiology in 1993. Dr. Diercks received his DDS in 1998 from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Diercks is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Santa Clara County Dental Association. He is a clinical instructor for Western Surgical and Sedation, teaching other dentists how to perform IV sedation and surgical wisdom teeth removal techniques. Dr. Diercks has been a provider of Invisalign since 2000, and was among the first dentists in California to be trained and certified in PIPS (Photon Induced Photoacoustic Streaming), a revolutionary method of performing root canals that improves the outcome of treatment. Dr. Diercks has also received additional training in endodontics (root canals), and performs all of the root canal procedures in our San Jose dental office. He has completed several courses and workshops on the placement and restoration of dental implants. When not at work, Dr. Diercks enjoys just about anything outdoors. Wakeboarding, snow skiing, and scuba diving are his favorites, but he can also be found on the golf course from time to time looking for his lost ball. He is a motorcycle enthusiast and tries to spend as much time as possible on the bike when the weather is nice. He is married with a son, a daughter, two dogs and a cat.
