Dr. Melanie Malone is Board Certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Head and Neck Surgery with her subspecialized practice limited exclusively to the treatment of the face and neck. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a remarkable distinction bestowed upon an elite subset of surgeons based on their exceptional training, professional qualifications, surgical competence, and ethical conduct. Dr. Malone employs a wide range of treatments to address the unique changes to our skin texture, structure, firmness and contour. Her expertise is founded in natural skincare remedies that are complemented by the most advanced scientific techniques in molecular medicine. Always focused on providing the most naturally refreshed appearance, Dr. Malone spends time to get to know each patient’s individual needs. Dr. Malone graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbia University with her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences. She completed her Medical Doctorate (MD) degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Malone was awarded prestigious research grants from the National Institute of Health and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in acknowledgement of her original research. At the Columbia University New York Presbyterian Hospital, she continued her post- graduate surgical training with an internship in General Surgery and a surgical residency specializing in Head and Neck Surgery. She was awarded the W. Shain Schley Award for Excellence in Resident Teaching and a Resident Research Day Award for her innovative research in Face Lifting techniques. Subsequently, Dr. Malone was chosen for a Fellowship in Aesthetic Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery sponsored by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the New York Center for Facial Plastic and Laser Surgery. Dr. Malone’s early career was spent as an Assistant Professor of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, NY. During that time, she performed complex reconstructive surgeries for patients disfigured from cancer or trauma and maintained a vibrant private practice for aesthetic surgery patients focusing on facial rejuvenation and rhinoplasty to make her patients look and feel their best. Dr. Malone’s subspecialty training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery grant her a unique expertise of the anatomy of the face and neck, the changes that occur in our skin muscles and deeper tissues with aging and the surgical techniques for the most natural rejuvenation treatments. She is a subspecialist limiting her practice only to surgery of the face.
