About Michael S. Matz, DMD
Dr. Matz has been practicing in the field of Cosmetic and Family Dentistry for 30 years. He graduated from the prestigous Temple University School of Dental Medicine where he was awarded his Doctorate of Dental Medicine in1988. He then completed a General Practice Residency Program at Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadephia. In 1989, he was awarded with the honor of FELLOW by the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). The summer of 1989 Dr. Matz was chosen by Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity to participate in the Project Renewal Program in Israel to treat families in the town of Sderot. Dr. Matz regularly devotes many hours to continuing education and keeping up-to-date on the most advanced techniques. He is dedicated to ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. His philosophy is to take time to know his patients and listen to their concerns. His practice treats the whole family from ""three to ninety-three."" Patients find his personality quite affable and his style to be both comforting and comfortable. Dr. Matz is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Philadelphia County Dental Society, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, AEPi Dental Fraternity, International Who's Who Among Professionals, and the Academy for Sports Dentistry. Dr. Matz lives with his wife and two sons in Montgomery County, PA. He was a high school and college swimmer and still competes at the national level in the United States Masters Swimming. In his spare time he volunteers with his community, with special interest in community shared agricultural endeavors. He also enjoys tennis, scuba diving, weightlifting, history, reading a good book, and travel.
