About Michael J. Reilly, MD
Dr. Reilly is double board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery and The American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. The specialty of facial plastic & reconstructive surgery sits perfectly at the intersection of his interpersonal skills, intellectual aptitude, surgical expertise, and aesthetic sensibility. Dr. Reilly is extremely conscious about the ways in which the face can influence an individual’s experience in the world, and he has traveled extensively throughout Central and South America to perform reconstructive surgery for those in need. Dr. Reilly recognizes that beauty comes in many forms, and he prides himself on tailoring treatments to work with each patient’s natural facial features. He believes that, when used appropriately, facial enhancement and rejuvenation can contribute to an improved sense of self and well-being. Dr. Reilly and his team are committed to helping you look and feel your absolute best. Dr. Reilly’s training began with undergraduate and medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then went on to complete his 5-year residency in Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery at Georgetown University. Subsequently, Dr. Reilly completed a very prestigious fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center before returning home to Washington, D.C. Since 2009, he has served as an Associate Professor of Facial Reconstructive Surgery, and in that time he has trained dozens of young surgeons. Dr. Reilly Continues to take an active role in medical research and education. He has authored and contributed to numerous articles and book chapters on subjects ranging from fractionated laser treatments to post-traumatic rhinoplasty. He has received national attention for his novel research on how facial appearance affects perceived personality. Dr. Reilly has made expert appearances on The Today Show with Kathie Lee & Hoda, Fox 5 News, NBC News. His research has also been featured in the Washington Post, Time Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Town & Country, and numerous other media outlets. Dr. Reilly has been recognized as a Washingtonian Top Doctor 2016, 2017, and 2018.
