About Nathan Fletcher, DDS
Dr. Nathan Fletcher was born in Washington, DC and was educated in the DC school system and the Montgomery County school system in Maryland. He graduated from Magruder High School in 1975 and matriculated to Morgan State University and graduated Cum Laude in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. Dr. Fletcher was employed with Ford Motor Company for three years before entering the Howard University College of Dentistry in the summer of 1983. In 1987, Dr. Fletcher earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He received honors in the College of Dentistry’s Dean’s List, the National Dean’s List, Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and Outstanding Young Men of America. Dr. Fletcher is involved in organized dentistry with the Maryland Dental Society of the National Dental Association as its President and as its Delegate in the House of Delegates for the NDA. He served as the 84th President of the National Dental Association in 2008. Dr. Fletcher has been the Vice Speaker of the House of Delegates of the NDA and served as its Parliamentarian and also the NDA Vice President. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and has also been the President and Vice President of the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation of Metropolitan Baltimore, Inc. Additionally, Dr. Fletcher is a former member of the Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry Board of Visitors located in Baltimore, an alumnus of the FBI Citizen’s Academy, and is a Life Member of the Morgan State University National Alumni Association.
