About Pantea Hashemi, MD
Pantea Hashemi, MD is a board certified general/cosmetic dermatologist. After completing a preliminary year of internal medicine at Harbor hospital, a Johns Hopkins affiliate, she continued to pursue her dermatology residency at New York Medical College; where she was selected as the chief resident in her senior year. Her postgraduate training includes a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology followed by a cutaneous oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering cancer center in New York, NY. Dr. Hashemi’s clinical research interests are application of laser and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) in the treatment of scars, the significance of dermoscopy and confocal microscopy in detection of melanoma, histopathology, and immune bullous diseases. Dr. Hashemi’s specialty focus includes application of fillers, neuromodulators, and laser resurfacing for facial rejuvenation and body contouring. She is a recipient of grants from Women’s dermatologic society and American Society of Dermatologic surgery. Recipient of many honors and awards, Dr. Hashemi has more than 30 publications and presentations in peer reviewed journals, and international conferences. She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and fellow of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology and Women’s dermatologic society.
