About Rafael J. Convit, MD
Dr. Rafael J. Convit, MD, FACS, has held staff positions at the Washington Hospital Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, the Center for Ambulatory Surgery, Inc. and as a consultant for the National Rehabilitation Hospital. His professional memberships include: the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons, Inc. and the American Medical Association. Dr. Convit is a graduate of George Washington University and completed an internship at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City. He completed his residency at the Washington Hospital Center and a fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center. He is board-certified by the Diplomate of American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Convit was presented with the National Rehabilitation Hospital's Best Clinical Consultant Teacher Award in both 1994 and 1997.
