About Raymond E. Carpenter, DDS
Dr. Carpenter has successfully practiced dentistry since 1976. He received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics in 1986. After growing up in Southern California, Dr. Carpenter received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University. He went on to receive a dental degree (DDS) from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, as a recipient of a U.S. Army Health Profession Scholarship. Following eight years of practice as a general dentist, Dr. Carpenter completed a post-graduate residency in Prosthodontics at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF), where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Carpenter has served on the faculty of the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and has been a Prosthodontics instructor at UCSF. He has also served on the faculty of the Esthetic Professionals Dental Education Center in Tarzana, California, and is a visiting faculty member at Spear Education in Scottsdale, AZ. He is an active member of the following organizations: American College of Prosthodontists, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, International College of Oral Implantologists, San Diego County Dental Society, American Dental Association. He is also a member and past president of the San Diego Prosthodontic Society.
