About Rebecca Block, DDS
Dentistry is my job and who I am: I find the greatest fulfillment in helping people take care of themselves and make changes in the way they live. Having a positive impact in people’s lives is an amazing opportunity: whether I’m providing a fun and safe first dental experience for a child, or working with their older sibling or parent to improve their oral health, I can have a tangible impact on that person’s life. Dentistry is far more than working on teeth. For me, it’s about caring for the person, first and foremost, and partnering with them. Together, we figure-out a treatment approach that addresses the whole of their situation, that’s painless and efficient, and gets them to a healthier smile! Nothing makes me happier than seeing bright, happy, healthy smiles – smiles that are filled with confidence and come from the heart. I look forward to coming to the office each morning, knowing I will talk with and forge connections with incredible people, while helping each change their life for the better! Dentistry is constantly changing. New techniques, materials, and technologies are continually developed and brought into the patient experience, improving diagnostics, treatment, and outcome. These advancements can all change the level of care I provide, so it’s important I stay up-to-date with the latest information. I attend many local dental continuing education courses, learning from researchers and practitioners. I am also currently an Associate Pre-Clinical Faculty and Assistant Course Director at Touro College of Dental Medicine. Through my work at Touro College of Dental Medicine and attending continuing education courses, I stay on top of changes in methodologies and materials. By constantly learning about new products and expanding my abilities as a practitioner, I am able to offer patients the best treatment options, provide the most comfortable care, and deliver incredible results. I’m a Teaneck native and moved back in 2013, after I finished dental school. I love raising my family in this community: my husband and I have three adorable children who keep us busy with their many activities. We love spending time outside, playing sports, going to the beach, planting and gardening. I especially enjoy reading to my children; it is a special time we spend together, and they love helping me bake and cook. Additionally, I am involved in my community synagogue and my children’s school. I volunteer my time and abilities whenever possible, believing it is important to give back to the places that are a big part of my life. In doing so, I not only show my appreciation for what these places offer my family and me, but I also help strengthen our community for the betterment of all.
