About Richard L. Bucher, DMD
Dr. Richard L. Bucher has been practicing dentistry in his home state of New Jersey for over 28 years. After earning his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, he went on to complete a one-year general practice residency at the UMDNJ University Hospital. He has been in private practice at Laser Dentistry of North Jersey in Oakland, New Jersey, since 1991. In order to keep current on the latest advances in dental and laser technology, he takes ongoing courses through a number of prestigious institutions, including the Pankey Institute in Florida and the World Clinical Laser Institute. He has been laser certified since 1997. Dr. Bucher is a member of several noted dental associations, including the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Society, the Academy of Laser Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the World Clinical Laser Institute, the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association, and the Dawson Study Club. He is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD), an honor bestowed upon him by his peers to acknowledge his leadership and commitment to continuing dental education. When not providing quality comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry to Oakland and surrounding areas, Dr. Bucher can be found with Annemarie, his wife of 29 years, and their 19 year-old twin sons, Jack and Maxwell. Both Dr. and Mrs. Bucher enjoy spending time with their sons, skiing, exploring the outdoors, fishing and making wine at home.
