About Samuel Rhee, MD
Dr. Samuel Rhee is a plastic surgeon practicing in the greater New Jersey and New York area. He has privileges at Valley Hospital (Ridgewood, NJ) and Hackensack University Medical Center. Prior to his transition to private practice, Dr. Rhee was an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Director of the Craniofacial Surgery Program. Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Rhee's clinical expertise includes a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, particularly minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, and body liposculpture. After graduating with honors from Duke University, Dr. Rhee received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He underwent training in general surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University Medical Center. He completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Rhee worked with renowned craniofacial surgeon Dr. Henry Kawamoto, Jr and completed a craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgery fellowship at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Rhee lectures regularly across the country. He has published research on topics including tissue growth and regeneration. He has a special interest in biosynthetic materials, stem cells, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He works with international volunteer surgical organizations, including Smile Bangladesh and Children of China Pediatrics Foundation, to collaborate with surgeons overseas and to treat children.
