Dr. Pilcher graduated from Temple University School of Medicine with honors, and it was there that she was selected to become a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Her exceptional performance in medical school allowed her to seek a six-year residency training program in General Surgery at the University of Virginia. After establishing this solid foundation in the principles of surgery, she progressed to training in her long-term interest in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Virginia, where she trained under internationally renowned and respected teachers. During her time in this program, she was awarded the Upjohn Excellence in Medicine Award and also published several research papers. During her training, Dr. Pilcher married and started a family. In 1995, she relocated with her husband, a general surgeon, as he was called to serve in the United States Air Force at Wilford Hall in San Antonio. She has since been in a successful private practice serving as a gifted plastic surgeon for the San Antonio, Texas community. As a female plastic surgeon, Dr. Pilcher is qualified to assess and meet the needs of her female plastic surgery patients, providing them with treatment plans tailored to their individual needs.
