About Stacey C. Michael, DMD
Dr. Stacey Michael graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2000 with a degree in Biological Sciences. She received her dental degree (DMD) from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 2004. The most distinguished graduate in her class, she received awards in General Dentistry, Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine, and was recognized for her leadership and community service. She was also one of four graduates inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. This is an honor given to those graduating in the top of their class while demonstrating exemplary traits of character and potential qualities of future professional growth and attainment. Dr. Michael completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington before going into private practice in 2005. She practiced in both Hamden and Guilford, CT before opening Michael Dental of Clinton in 2016. In June, 2018, Dr. Michael earned the prestigious Fellowship Award (FAGD) in the Academy of General Dentistry. To earn this award, a dentist must take over 500 hours of continuing education in various disciplines and pass a rigorous exam. Stacey C. Michael, D.M.D., F.A.G.D. is one of only 7 percent of general dentists who have achieved this honor. Dr. Michael is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Connecticut State Dental Association, the Shoreline Dental Society, the Shoreline Women’s Dental Association, and the River Valley Study Club. Dr. Michael was the chairperson of the Leadership Development & Qualifications Committee of the Connecticut State Dental Association. She has served as a part-time clinical faculty member of Operative Dentistry and is a student mentor at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
