About Sudarat Kiat-Amnuay, DDS
Dr. Sudarat Kiat-amnuay holds academic appointments as a tenured professor and director of AEGD Residency Program. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and the American Board of Clinical Anaplastology. She is currently a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, the International Congress of Oral Implantologist, International Academy of Oral Oncology, and the ADEA Leadership Institute. The recipient of more than 40 teaching and research awards, Dr. Kiat-amnuay has published more than 60 abstracts and 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, and contributed to multiple book chapters. She has presented/co-presented over 200 presentations locally, nationally and internationally. She is a principal investigator of 16 funded projects and a co-principal investigator of four others, including one funded by the National Institutes of Health (5-year U01 grant, randomized controlled phase III clinical trial) and one funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (5-year HRSA residency training grant). Dr. Kiat-amnuay is actively engaged in clinical teaching, administering a residency program, and maintaining a clinical practice in complex prosthodontics, full-mouth rehabilitation, complex implant restorations, cosmetic dentistry, maxillofacial prosthetics and dental oncology, restorations for gunshot wound victims, etc.). Additionally, she conducts research in the fields of maxillofacial prosthetics, prosthodontics, implant dentistry and dental biomaterials. She is a reviewer/editorial board for several journals and is currently a member of 15 dental and medical professional organizations. She has been with UTHealth School of Dentistry at Houston since 2001.
