About Tamir Mosharrafa, MD
My love for learning certainly comes from my parents. They both received Ph.D.’s from the University of Minnesota, and always stressed the importance of education and life-long learning to my older sister, my older brother and me. After earning my undergraduate degree with honors at the University of Texas in Austin, I decided to continue my education and pursue a career in medicine by attending Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. It was there that my passion for plastic surgery began, and that passion has only grown through my internship, residency, and fellowship, and now over 13 years of private practice. Throughout my career, I have held a clinical faculty position teaching the science and art of plastic surgery to residence and am routinely asked to review articles submitted to The Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Journal as a subject matter expert. I am also passionate about giving back and have been recognized for my community service working with The Phoenix Dream Center and Phoenix Police Department. “Having plastic surgery is about personal choices. Once you make a decision to change the way you look and feel, you are faced with many options, including the type of procedure or procedures, the best timing for the change, and who to trust to perform the procedure with precision and expertise. I hope to introduce you to our plastic surgery practice in Phoenix, Arizona, not through self-promotion and advertising, but rather through my reputation for compassionate care and quality service."
