About Thomas Brickey, DMD
Thomas Brickey, DMD is the founding Salt Lake City dentist of Natural Smiles Dentistry. Tom and his incredible staff have been treating adults and children of all ages for over 20 years. He is a Utah native, and graduate of Highland High School and the University of Utah with a BS in Communication. Tom graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry and spent time working in various public health dental clinics, while beginning his private practice in the Cottonwood Heights area with the help of his uncle and mentor, Roger Russell, DDS. Four years later he moved to his current location in the Canyon Rim area. His Salt Lake City dental office promotes a philosophy of healthy living through optimal oral health, which begins and ends with oral hygiene. Prevention of dental disease has never been easier, and all we need to do is spread the word! Natural Smiles Dentistry always incorporates the latest in CAD-CAM computer assisted dentistry in providing timely, beautiful, and biologically sensitive solutions to your dental needs. He is one of only 8 dentists in the state of Utah to be trained and qualified to perform the LANAP® laser periodontal treatment for people with gum disease. His high tech dental practice boasts an amazing view of Mt. Olympus too! Thomas loves his patients, his family, his dog, and his ’95 Ford Escort. He’s learning to like soccer games and school homework with his two slightly above incredible children. He likes to remind kids and patients of all ages that cavity bugs like to poop on your teeth and that soft drinks, especially diet sodas, are the source of all tooth evil. He would much rather talk about the feeling one gets while carving less-than-perfect S turns through perfect Utah powder, or the thrill of climbing any one of Utah’s many crags, than the horrors of root canal due to poor oral hygiene. Dr. Brickey loves to read, watch his beautiful children grow, spend time with his gorgeous wife, outdoors, and traveling the globe. He is dedicated and resolved to bring dental disease to its knees!
