About Thomas J. Hoover, DDS
Dr. Thomas Hoover was born in Woodstock and raised in North Aurora, Illinois, He served as a dental lab technician and dental assistant in the US Air force and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal while serving at Scott Air Force Base. Dr. Hoover graduated with an Associate Degree from the University of Maryland in Europe, a Bachelors Degree from Northern Illinois University and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry. Dr. Hoover was awarded the Stanley B, Tillman award for clinical excellence by the University in addition to being an honor student at all three schools he attended. Dr. Hoover has been providing dental services to the Northwest Suburban area for over 25 years. He is a member of the Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce and is a founding member of the Northwest Business Network. He served as an instructor of dentistry at the University of Illinois and has also taught courses in starting an investment club at Harper College and for the Hoffman Estates Park District. Over the years he has served on numerous community boards, business, and swim team boards. The many years of experience as an assistant in emergency services and as a dental lab technician provides the foundation of Dr. Hoover's dentistry. He enjoys restoring smiles to people who have lost confidence in their smile. Our soft tissue management program has given many patients the ability to keep teeth that would have been lost decades ago. I am proud of the many patients I have had over the years who were children that are now parents of children. The patients here at Hoffman Estates Family Dentistry span across three generation families. Married with three children, he enjoys fishing, loves travel, walking with his dogs and most recently, learning to golf.
