About Tony Hashemian, DDS
Dr. Tony Hashemian currently holds the position of Associate Dean for Global Oral Health and assistant professor at A.T. Still University (ATSU), Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ASDOH). Prior to that, Dr. Hashemian was ASDOH’s Admissions Committee Chair for three years. He is a graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry and recipient of a bachelor degree in physiology from the University of Minnesota. Between 2000 and 2005, Dr. Hashemian was an owner/operator of five dental offices. He currently practices clinical dentistry on a part-time basis in Scottsdale, AZ. In 2003, Dr. Hashemian founded Appleton Dental Plan, an innovative and cost-effective alternative to traditional dental insurance plans for residents and visitors of Arizona. He also established the first scholarship given to ASDOH dental students in 2004, the Dr. Tony Hashemian Award of Excellence for achieving the highest score on the National Board of Dental Examination. He recently completed five courses in the Master of Public Health program at A.T.Still University. Dr. Hashemian named Dentist of the Year by Arizona Business Magazine and received a Health Care Leadership Award 2012.
