About Tony Thomas, DDS
Dr. Thomas grew up in San Antonio until the age of 13 when his family moved to the Seattle area. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1998 from the University of Washington. He moved to New York in 2003 to attend New York University College of Dentistry and graduated in 2007. He completed a one year General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. Dr. Thomas continues to expand his dental knowledge with continuing education. He has taken numerous courses and workshops with the Spear Education group and also became certified in performing IV sedation in 2014. Dr. Thomas had been practicing in the Greater NYC/Long Island area for the last 10 years, providing comprehensive dental care to patients, especially those with dental anxiety. Last year he returned home to San Antonio and wanted to find a dental home to continue to give care to those who struggle with fear and anxiety of dental visits. His goal has always been to be able to change the narrative among people about the dentist and provide a calm, comfortable place for patients and he is happy to be part of the Advanced Smile Care team.
