About Tushar Dabade, MD
As a board-certified dermatologist, Dr. Dabade’s goal is to have a positive impact on your quality of life – and knowing that the means to that end are different for each individual. It may entail learning about the signs of skin cancer during a mole examination, using a newly developed medication to finally get one’s psoriasis under control, or softening skin lines with cosmetic treatments. It could be putting a halt to excessive sweating, evaluating the skin for an autoimmune condition, or outlining a practical regimen to treat acne. Whatever the challenge, he has an empathetic ear and thoughtful approach to caring for someone’s dermatologic needs. With a medical degree and surgical skills from the Mayo Clinic, dermatology training from Tufts University, and experience in practice with Northwestern Medical Group, Dr. Dabade has developed an academic approach to patients’ concerns with an easy to understand style. He has authored extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals, book chapters, editorials, and shared national and international presentations on psoriasis, atopic dermatitis or eczema, acne, skin infections, surgical techniques and other dermatologic conditions. Critically appraising and incorporating innovative treatments is one of his aims, honed during his psoriasis research fellowship at Wake Forest School of Medicine, helping bring the best outcomes to his patients. His practice encompasses medical dermatology as well as surgical and cosmetic procedures. And, by creatively collaborating with plastic surgery colleagues, he can present unbiased comprehensive approaches to certain treatment scenarios. Moreover, each patient is cared for as if they were a family member – in an ethical, non-judgmental, dignified, and warm-hearted way. While away from the clinic, Dr. Dabade enjoys travelling to foreign countries and NFL stadiums with his wife, trying to cover Ed Sheeran on the guitar, and searching for some semblance of balance between fitness and foodie.
