About Usha P. Reddy, MD
Dr. Usha Reddy is originally from Charleston, West Virginia. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island as part of the combined Program in Liberal Medical Education. She then went on to complete her Ophthalmology residency training at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida. Dr. Reddy then received her subspecialty training in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Duke Eye Center in Durham, NC with research interests of chemodenervation for functional and cosmetic uses, blepharospasm and the CO2 laser. Dr. Reddy is a board-certified member of the American Board of Ophthalmology. She specializes in conditions and procedures of the eyelid, lacrimal system, and orbit of children and adults. Her training and experience also include aesthetic procedures such as chemodenervation (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin),facial fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse), cosmetic lasers and eyelid and brow surgeries. Dr. Reddy is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She practices in the Charlotte, NC and Concord, NC areas. Ophthalmology has always felt a natural choice for Dr. Reddy. She was drawn to both the medical and surgical aspects of the practice in following patients in clinic and having the ability to offer surgical solutions to issues. The diversity of patients; both adults and children, and diversity of procedures; eyelids, lacrimal system, tumors, skin cancers, and aesthetics, encouraged her pursuit of an oculoplastics training.
