About Virgilio Gutierrez, DDS
Dr. Gutierrez is a proud graduate of the University of Texas Health and Science Center San Antonio Dental School, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. His passion and drive for all that is dentistry has catapulted him to rigorous, advanced surgical and cosmetic training in many prestigious and recognized institutes across the U.S. and internationally. Dr. Gutierrez has been recognized by many US and international programs, including the German Society of Oral Implantology by which he was awarded a Fellowship through the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in Berlin, Germany. He is also a pioneer in bringing Plasma Rich Growth Factors dental biologic technology into Texas and first in Houston area as recognized by the Endoret Bio Technology Institute center. His focus and understanding that patient comfort and optimal treatment go hand in hand has led him to pursue and complete a mini residency in Intravenous and Oral Sedation training in order to provide another level of comfort and care. His interdisciplinary background and training help him combine a multitude of specialty treatments, including periodontal surgery (gum grafting), implant surgery, osseous grafting, prosthodontics, orthodontics as an Invisalign provider, esthetic dentistry, and much more in order to reassure his patients they are in good, knowledgeable, and caring hands. With Over 1,000 hours of continuing education across the world Dr. Gutierrez continues to stay up to date with proven modern techniques and technology. He is a Key Opinion Leader and faculty for several recognized international Institute such as Digital Smile Design, Pascal Intl., Live Implant Training Institute, as well as the most recognized implant company in the world, Straumann Implants. Outside of his practice and home, you will find Dr. G traveling across the US and the world. Dr. Gutierrez’s family brings structure to his life and inspires his strong work ethic. His wife, Dr. Shevchenko is a board-certified orthodontist in addition to being a wonderful life partner and mother to their daughters. When not helping patients, Dr. Gutierrez loves traveling the world with family and friends, exploring, growing spiritually through different cultural experiences, and enjoying international cuisine!
