About Zola A. Makrauer, DMD
Dr. Zola Makrauer maintains a full time dental practice and has been treating families for over 30 years in the Philadelphia area. Dr. Makrauer graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and the Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University. He has had extensive training in cosmetic, esthetic and reconstructive implant dentistry. He is also a part time clinical instructor at the Kornberg School of Dentistry. Dr. Makrauer lectures nationally and internationally to educate other dental professionals in the area of implant restorative dentistry. Dr. Makrauer strongly believes in the proven concepts of the team approach, not only with his own team members, but also with the specialty teams with which he works. In addition, he has been published in the national peer review dental journals, The Compendium and the Starget. Dr. Makrauer has been married to his wife Susan for over 30 years. They have one son, Kyle. Dr. Makrauer is passionate about dentistry, teaching, skiing, swimming, photography, and tennis. He has also been involved with many charitable organizations including A Women’s Place and MOM-PA Dental Missions which is the largest free dental clinic in Pennsylvania.
